Novo álbum dos DEAD CAN DANCE

Em plena digressão de «Anastasis», o disco de originais editado em Agosto do ano passado, os Dead Can Dance editam agora um registo ao vivo da primeira parte da passagem pela América do Norte ainda em 2012.

A actual digressão – a maior de sempre da dupla Brendan Perry e Lisa Gerrard – tem a duração de um ano (começou em Agosto passado e encontra-se com datas anunciadas até Julho deste ano). Já passou em Outubro por Portugal, num memorável concerto na Casa da Música no Porto e voltará ao nosso país em Maio e Junho deste ano.

O disco «In Concert» será oficialmente publicado no próximo dia 22 de Abril.

Entretanto, no site oficial do grupo, foi ontem colocado à venda uma edição especial limitada de «In Concert», que esgotou logo na primeira hora.

Só Deus sabia que um dia este miúdo, na fotografia com 10 anos idade, iria compor uma canção para a história.
Foi gravada por estes dias de Março, no ano de 1966.

A canção «God Only Knows” foi gravada nos dia 9 e 10 de Março de 1966 e editada no álbum «Pet Sounds» dos Beach Boys de Brian Wilson, em Maio do mesmo ano.

4AD / 2013 – DAUGHTER

O álbum de estreia da banda britânica Daughter, «If You Leave», vai ser editado pela 4AD no próximo dia 18 de Março.
Eis o tema de apresentação, em vídeo oficial:

Os Daughter são um trio formado por Elena Tonra (vocalista), Igor Haefeli e Remi Aguilella.
Seguem-se imagens da actuação no programa Late Show with David Letterman, na TV norte-americana no passado dia 11 de Outubro de 2012. O tema “Youth” faz parte do EP «Wild Youth», editado em 2011:

A recordação da passagem ao vivo dos britânicos Ladytron pelos estúdios da estação pública e alternativa de Santa Mónica, Califórnia.
Imagens e sons do ano 2009, no tema “Discotraxx”. Curiosamente, ou não, uma versão bem mais conseguida que o original (do álbum de estreia, em 2001) do próprio grupo liderado por Helen Marnie .
